Open letter to Kamala Harris, almost soon-to-be-president of the United States

I think I can speak for the rest of the women of this world population when I say that we are all fully aware of the disappointment that Trump seems to have won the battle again. The weight of this moment compels me to offer you some words of comfort, as well as the rest of all women on this planet.

1. As a candidate for the presidency, you have done and meant so much to us. Especially to women. To all young girls of all nationalities.
   
2. Your courage, your commitment and your dedication not only gave us hope, but you were also an example that we can look up to.
   
3. You have opened doors with this. Not only for yourself but also for others. To show how you can stand up for your beliefs, even in the face of so much disappointment.
   
4. You have fought a beautiful and valuable battle. Even for the voiceless who – I know – hoped, but did not – yet – believe in it.
   
5. Know that your story will continue to inspire others. Will encourage others to change this world for the better.

Let that compass of yours, for us as women in all our hearts, continue to beat. Let us women be the bridge builders for the future that this world needs so much. Because what you gave us, showed us for a moment that this world – our world – one day has the duty to transform into something better that has more weight than just a weapon, the extension of the man’s dick.

One day it will happen. One day we will mean more to our humanity. And then you will have been that shining example.
